  • 3.0 out of 5 stars from Kindle Customer -- It's an interesting theory, but... : As someone who has read a number of books by different authors on the topic of a forgotten, ancient, (relatively) advanced culture that has influenced our history, I found this theory interesting. My problems with this book come from both lack of citations and lack of proof. If you take the time to look, this book has an extensive bibliography. However, the number of footnotes listing where quotes or ideas come from is relatively few. This prevents the reader from going back and checking the source materials to verify that they are in context and accurate. The author also uses Wikipedia as a source for many articles. Because readers can alter what is written on Wikipedia, it cannot be used as a valid source for serious writing. Finally, (spoilers ahead) the author's discovery of what he believes was the actual island of Atlantis was made using Google Earth. Again, interesting, but it lacks any published oceanographic data proving that this plateau was in fact above water in the proper time frame. I would love to read a revised edition of this book with the proper citations and scientific data included. Until then, this is nothing more than an amateur's unproven theory. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from L. King -- So well written making contiguous the centuries it covers : This book is so well researched, edited, thought out and well designed (the typeface, the illustrations) I never saw a misspelled word or a conceptual thought that was not contiguous making it all come together in a logical pattern over time. As you read further into its "story' you begin to realize what a masterpiece Christos Djonis has created and what a genius he has to be to have written it. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Larry Brian -- A most believable description of fabled and probably unprovable Atlantis : . I much appreciate the effort put into the material and earnestness of Mr Djonis work. I will read more of his material. ( Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2021 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Chickadee655 -- Meticulous Research Reveals The Hiding Place Of Atlantis : C A Dennis exhausts every possible clue to discover where to expect to find the prehistory location of the lost civilization. What happened to Atlantis, where did the population go? Many other mysteries are solved along the way to the answers to these questions. Put all the pieces together and you be surprised at the earth shacking conclusions ( Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2021 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from M. R. Harrell -- Great Book : This is a very well researched and written take on an ancient story. I would recommend it to anyone interested in ancient history. There have been a world of books written on theories concerning Atlantis, but this one makes a really good case for what may well have happened almost 12,000 years ago. A good read. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Mr Greek Guy -- Fascinating! : A serious read. I highly recommend it. ( Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2021 )
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars from Amazon Customer -- Interesting conclusion : This book makes a compelling case for a location for the fabled Atlantis. I found it quite plausible without any extra legend or speculation about the Atlantean society. ( Reviewed in the United States on September 4, 2021 )
  • 1.0 out of 5 stars from djw -- Really?? : Incoherent. Is the author a native English speaker? If not maybe I can forgive his highly boring rehashing of a once interesting subject ( Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2021 )
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Andrew Myles -- Good read : From the first page, wasn't able to put it down. ( Reviewed in Canada on September 3, 2021 )
